Educational qualifications and experience required

i. Senior Technical Assistant (Under the project “Establishment of Cutting-edge State-of-the-Art
Mass Spectrometry based OMICS Research Core Facility)

Essential:
➢ Ph.D. in Biological Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Analytical Chemistry or related
field.
➢ Hands on expertise in high resolution mass spectrometry (Orbitrap/Q-TOF/Triple
Quadrupole) for Metabolomics, Lipidomics, and Proteomics.
➢ Experience in sample preparation, LC-MS/MS method development and advanced data
analysis using platforms such as Proteome Discover, Xcalibur, Chameleon, Meabo Analyst,
Sequest or equivalent software.

Desirable:
➢ Post-Doctoral experience with publications in peer reviewed journals.
➢ Skills in multi OMICS integration, Bioinformatics Pipelines and Statistical/data driven
analysis.
➢ Strong communication skills and ability to work in an interdisciplinary, collaborative
environment.

Job Requirements: The selected candidate is expected to independently operate, manage and maintain
high-end mass spectrometry platforms. Responsibilities include developing and standardizing workflows
for Metabolomics, Lipidomics and Proteomics Analyses, supporting collaborative research, training
users, maintaining facility records etc.

Operator:
a) M.Tech or M.Sc./BS-MS with at least 55% marks and experience up to 3 years or Ph.D.
with hands-on experience on relevant scientific equipment.

b) M.Tech or M.Sc./BS-MS with at least 55% marks and experience up to 5 years or Ph.D.
with hands-on experience on relevant scientific equipment (at least two years after Ph.D. degree.

Note: Interested and eligible candidates, who possess the requisite qualification and experience as
mentioned above may appear for the “Walk-In-Evaluation and Skill Test” as scheduled above
with the duly filled Biodata form at Annexure-I, a recent passport size photo and all original
academic certificates with mark sheet, valid ID proof, Experience Certificate, Relieving
Certificate (if any) with a set of duly self-attested photocopy of the documents, in support to
his/her application
