Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have a Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 65% marks (calculated as the aggregate of all semesters, regardless of the institute or university’s internal weightage system). The qualification should be in any one of the following seven Engineering disciplines: Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Metallurgy.
Age Limit (as on 05-12-2025)
The maximum age limit for applicants is 28 years, meaning candidates must not be born before 05 December 1997. For departmental candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed up to 45 years, regardless of their caste or category. Additional age relaxations will be provided as per the applicable government rules.
Salary
Basic Pay during training: ₹50,000 per month (₹50,000–1,60,000 pay scale).
After 1 year training: Promoted to Assistant Manager (E1 grade) with pay scale ₹60,000–1,80,000.
Allowances: Dearness Allowance, cafeteria perks, PF, gratuity, and other company benefits.
Additional benefits: HRA/housing, leave encashment, and free medical facilities for self and dependents.
CTC: Approximately ₹16–17 lakhs per annum at minimum of E1 grade (excluding PRP and location allowances).
Note: SAIL will not bear liabilities from any previous employment (salary, leave, pension contribution, etc.).
